In the words of the Avett Brothers, "Brooklyn Brooklyn take me in"...

Just got back from NYC after an amazing visit full of photography, video work and an all around inspiration fill up.  I had experienced the hustle bustle and beauty of Manhattan many times, all enjoyable, but something about this past trip to Brooklyn spoke deeply in my soul.  The people, the street art, the bars and restaurants, the deep fried pizza at Forcella, Vice News, NBC, The Glass Camera, Colton Flurry, Harriet Dedman, Bush Wick Country Club (at which I am now a card carrying member:) Thanks John, Ontario Bar (from what I remember), The MTA bus driver who lost his job and is risking it all to be a comedian, the amazing conversations with people of various backgrounds regarding race, nationality, prejudice and the "what's this life about" that we all get into.

I have so much to work with and work through, feeling thankful for every person I know, have known and will know.  WE NEED EACH OTHER PEOPLE! Differences are critical to our growth and well being.

Rest in Peace Aretha, R-E-S-P-E-C-T XOXOXOXOXOXO
